Link (copy to Facebook or IM):

A stand-alone episode of School Sucks Podcast...in three parts. Critical Thinking Question: What are some strategies you could use to tell the difference between having a debate with someone, and watching them have an anxiety attack? Topic: This (first part of three) is a set-up for a two-part discussion I recently had with Wes Bertrand. On September 18th, I tried to weave a series of loosely related thoughts together into one topic, while driving. I wasn't thrilled with the result. I eventually contacted Wes to help me try to make sense of it all. This is an examination of how fantasy is used to manage personal and/or political anxiety, the relationship between the personal and the political, and how outrage and attack are employed to deal with the disruption of fantasy. Please visit schoolsucksproject.com for full show notes, references and links.
